雪冰相映放清辉。
波涛四海随风去，
追梦瑶池极地遂。

至寒天气已曾经，
回暖春温渐近零。
覆雪消融斜照日，
层冰凝冻灿繁星。
祥云瑞色诗南极，
旖旎风光画玉屏。
一抹浓红多意境，
千峰皑白净心宁。

A sheet’s too thin, a cap’s too small, to name
The ice at the South Pole, as its vast mass
Intrudes the sea so deep and far to claim
Its ownership and let no one trespass,
Except the penguins that have earned their fame,
When all at once some red new lives amass,
Against the cold, despite the wind, to aim
At the horizon and all to surpass.
